UZAZI VILLAGE COMMUNITY EXPERT REVIEW BOARD

Uzazi Village has created the Community Expert Review Board (CERB) to address the need for community input in research and policy as it pertains to Black and Brown communities. The CERB works with researchers and policymakers who identify and refine projects that impact communities of color. We welcome the opportunity to work with universities, non-profits, think tanks, social service agencies, and research and philanthropic organizations.

VISION:

Transformed quality and quantity of Black life

MISSION:

Revolutionize Black maternal infant health outcomes by amplifying the Black birth experience, fostering equitable research, and ensuring culturally congruent care

Join the CERB!

As a CERB member, you will have the unique experience of providing oversight and insight into the research conducted in our community. Additionally, you will engage in advocacy efforts to promote prioritizing Black life as a whole. The CERB works to ensure that all research conducted in our village is for us, by us

We encourage all interested Black birthing and non-birthing persons in the Kansas City metro area to apply.
