Uzazi Village’s training and education programs are designed to transform perinatal health outcomes by equipping doulas and other birth workers with the knowledge, skills, and cultural grounding needed to support childbearing families, especially Black and Brown ones, with dignity and respect.
For more than a decade, we’ve trained hundreds of birthworkers across the country, each one prepared to advocate for families, challenge inequities, and provide care rooted in cultural humility and ancestral wisdom.
Our approach blends evidence-based learning with community accountability, ensuring every trainee is prepared to serve with compassion, skill, and purpose.
