THERAPY

We are dedicated to providing healing and support for childbearing families. That is why we’re now offering group and individual therapy sessions, led by accomplished professionals so that we can build a stronger, healthier community.

Individual Therapy Sessions

Individual therapy sessions will be available to qualifying Ida Mae Patterson Center care participants and staff at low to no cost on Wednesday mornings. These sessions will be with Katrina Stoddard, a highly skilled and dedicated clinical marriage and family therapist with a passion for serving the BIPOC community. Fill out a safety screening form to find out if this service is right for your current needs.  

Group Therapy Sessions

Group therapy sessions will be available to qualifying Ida Mae Patterson Center care participants and staff at low to no cost three times each month. These sessions will be hosted by Aisha Augusta, Ph.D., an accomplished psychologist who specializes in racial trauma. Fill out a safety screening form to find out if this service is right for your current needs. 

Group A: PTSD

Group A focuses on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and meets on the third Friday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m.

Group B: Co-Parenting

Group B focuses on co-parenting and meets on the first Friday of each month from 1-2:30 p.m.

Group C: Navigating Conflict

Group C focuses on navigating conflict and meets on the first Friday of each month from 3-4:30 p.m.

This is part of our process for making sure everyone receives care in a way that is safe, supportive, and aligned with their healing journey. About Katrina
Katrina Stoddard, LCMFT-S, LMFT-S, is a highly skilled and dedicated clinical marriage and family therapist with a passion for serving the BIPOC community. Her expertise lies in maternal mental health and couples therapy, and she has a strong background in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and abuse, particularly sexual trauma. As a therapist, Katrina is dedicated to being true, authentic, and an advocate for her clients, ensuring they receive the support and care they need to lead fulfilling lives.
About Dr. Augusta
Aisha Augusta, Ph.D., is an accomplished healing professional and thought leader, specializing in workplace psychology, racial trauma, and more. She is the founder of Psychological Justice, an organization dedicated to helping individuals heal from the effects of racial trauma. Dr. Augusta serves as an instructor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where she teaches psychology and mentors the next generation of mental health professionals.
